COVID-19 in Kyiv: Klitschko says 364 new daily cases confirmed
In the past 24 hours, 364 coronavirus cases were reported in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv.
This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration with reference to Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, according to Ukrinform.
"In the capital, 364 daily coronavirus cases were confirmed. Sixteen died. There have been a total of 8,233 coronavirus deaths in Kyiv throughout the pandemic period and 334,085 confirmed cases to date," Klitschko said.
Patients over the past day include 202 women aged 18 to 92 years and 147 men aged 20 to 89 years; as well as eight girls from 8 months to 16 years and seven boys from 11 months to 17 years.
Among those who died were10 female patients from 46 to 92 years of age and six males aged from 68 to 85 years.
Twenty-two coronavirus patients and 94 persons with suspected COVID-19 and pneumonia were hospitalized in the capital.
Also over the past day, 285 people recovered, which brings an overall count of recoveries to 314,990.
"The highest number of cases was detected in Dniprovskyi district (99), Darnytskyi district (54), and Obolonskyi district (48)," Klitschko added.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, on January 3, Ukraine’s health officials recorded 1,746 coronavirus cases across Ukraine. Since the onset of the pandemic, the total number of COVID-19 cases has reached 3,678,088.
