COVID-19 in Kyiv: 1,344 new daily cases
In the past 24 hours, 1,344 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv.
This was reported via Facebook by Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, Ukrinform wrote.
"Plus 1,344 confirmed coronavirus cases (335,429 in total)," Klitschko reported.
Among those who contracted the virus last day were 771 women aged 18 to 96 years, 520 men aged 18 to 88; 26 girls from 1 to 17 years, and 27 boys from 3 to 17 years of age.
In the past day, health officials confirmed 17 corona-related deaths (seven female patients aged 55 to 87 and 10 males from 51 to 84 years of age. A total of 8,250 people have already died from COVID-19 in Kyiv.
Eighty-six patients were hospitalized with coronavirus in the past 24 hours, as well as 81 with suspected COVID-19 and pneumonia.
Also, 1,034 people recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing a total of recoveries in Kyiv to 316,024.
"Most cases were confirmed in the following districts: Desnyanskyi (345), Obolonskyi (241), and Darnytskyi (139)," Klitschko added.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, on January 4, health officials reported 4,571 new COVID-19 cases across Ukraine.
