Six more countries recognize Ukrainian COVID certificates
New countries joined the EU eHealth Network whose members mutually recognize digital COVID certificates.
“Lebanon, Montenegro, Taiwan, Uruguay, Tunisia, and Thailand [joined the network]. This decision will allow using digital COVID certificate obtained in Diia app when crossing the border of these countries,” the press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine informs.
As noted, this will apply to citizens who were vaccinated against coronavirus or recovered recently.
"Vaccinated citizens of Ukraine will be able to visit more countries without PCR tests and self-isolation in the countries upon arrival if the epidemic situation allows," Deputy Health Minister Maria Karchevych said.
To date, the EU eHealth Network consists of 60 member states. They include not only the European countries closest to Ukraine, such as Poland, Austria, Latvia and other EU member states, but also countries on other continents, such as Singapore, New Zealand, and the UAE. The full list of EU eHealth Network member states is provided here.
In 2022, the digital network is expected to cover up to 80 member states.
