Zelenska: Diia.Barrier-free will be launched in March
The Diia public services portal will soon have a new section called Diia.Barrier-free.
First Lady Olena Zelenska announced this at the Diia Summit 2022, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"Very soon, in March, Diia will have another section – Diia.Barrier-free, which is being developed by a powerful team of the Digital Transformation Ministry and NGO ‘Barrier-free,’ with the support of UNDP. It will be not just a section; it will be a special unit of Diia. It will be aimed at simplifying communication with the state for the elderly, people with disabilities, for all groups of the population, for whom public services were not always convenient and friendly,” Zelenska said.
According to the First Lady, people often need information from the state in times of change in their lives, so it should be accessible and understandable as much as possible. Zelenska has noted that the new section will contain information on various benefits and services.
“We would like the ‘Diia. Barrier-free’ to become a bridge, and in this case it is appropriate to say – a convenient ramp between online and offline services of the state for those who need it. So Diia will become even more effective. And there will be fewer obstacles and barriers in the country," the First Lady concluded.
As Ukrinform reported, the team of the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation presented more than 10 new digital services at the Diia Summit 2022 on February 8. The new services include the change of place of registration, new notifications in the Diia app, an updated Diia.Signature, services for pensioners and drivers, and some other digital projects and initiatives.
