"Every Ukrainian is a target for Russians" - First Lady Olena Zelenska

Not only the presidential family, but also every Ukrainian has become a target since the start of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine.

The spouse of the Ukrainian President, Olena Zelenska, said this in an interview with CNN’s Chief International Anchor Christiane Amanpour, Ukrinform reports.

“If you look closely, it becomes clear that every Ukrainian is a target for Russians: Every woman, every child," the First Lady said.

Mrs. Zelenska believed that the people who had recently died from a Russian missile while trying to evacuate from Kramatorsk were not members of the presidential family, but just Ukrainians.

“So the number one target for the enemy is all of us,” said the First Lady.

The President's wife stressed that the main thing for Ukraine today was that the whole other world heard and saw us.

“It is important that our war does not become "habitual," so that our victims do not become statistics. That's why I communicate with people through foreign media,” said Olena Zelenska.

On April 8, Russian troops launched a missile strike at the Kramatorsk railway station where people had been waiting for an evacuation train. As reported, 57 people died and 109 were injured in this attack.

A full-scale invasion of Ukraine announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin began on February 24. Key infrastructure facilities and residential areas in Ukrainian cities and villages are under fire from Russian troops that use artillery, rocket-propelled grenade launchers, ballistic missiles and air bombs.

People in the temporarily occupied territories are subjected to terror events by the invaders.
