Zelenska, Caputova discuss creation of Ukrainian Cultural Center in Slovakia
Ukraine’s First Lady, Olena Zelenska, has met with the President of Slovakia, Zuzana Caputova, to discuss the establishment of a Ukrainian Cultural Center in Slovakia.
Zelenska wrote this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"The first woman president of Slovakia, the youngest leader in the country's history, an environmental activist and a human rights activist. She is the one who, together with the whole of Slovakia, takes care of Ukrainian refugees in this country. I was glad to talk to Ms. Zuzana Caputova. We discussed the establishment of a Ukrainian Cultural Center in this country - the second such institution after Lithuania. It will be a place for Ukrainians to meet, to get information and help, a place for cultural and educational events. Here, mothers will be able to even leave their children for a few hours or work at the computer," Zelenska said.
She thanked Slovakia for setting up temporary examination centers for Ukrainian entrants.
"This is very important for us, because education should not stop. For Ukraine, this is the same strategic area as medicine," Zelenska added.
Caputova is on her visit to Ukraine on May 31.
