Russia carried out almost 800 cyberattacks against Ukraine since full-scale war started

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation has carried out 796 cyberattacks against Ukraine, which is three times more than in the same period last year.

The head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection, Yuriy Shchyhol, said this in an interview with Liga.Tech, Ukrinform reports.

"Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has carried out 796 cyberattacks against Ukraine. This is three times more than in the same period last year. The number of cyberattacks is not decreasing, but the quality is lowering," he said.

As the head of the department explained that the Russians no longer have enough time to prepare attacks, as it was before, for example, against Viasat, Ukrtelecom, telecom operators and the entire logistics of Ukraine.

Shchyhol also noted that the Russian Federation is not as strong as it has claimed in recent years. None of their cyberattacks have achieved the goals they set, he stressed.

Russia's full-scale armed aggression has been ongoing in Ukraine since February 24, 2022.
