More than 5M people from Ukraine entered Poland since war started - border guard agency

Poland has taken in more than five million people from Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's full-scale aggression.

The Polish border guard agency wrote on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"Since February 24, a total of 5,036,000 people have crossed into Poland from Ukraine," it said in a tweet.

Meanwhile, more than 3.1 million people have left Poland for Ukraine since February 24, according to Poland’s border guards.

On July 25, 21,000 people from Ukraine arrived in Poland, whereas 24,200 people crossed the border from Poland into Ukraine.

Preliminary estimates show that about 3.5 million Ukrainian citizens now stay in Poland.

As reported, according to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, more than nine million people from Ukraine have crossed borders into neighbouring countries since the beginning of the full-scale war.
