Evacuation from Donetsk Region: First train brings 136 civilians to Kropyvnytskyi
A total of 136 civilians have been evacuated from Donetsk Region to Kropyvnytskyi by train, including 44 physically challenged persons.
The relevant statement was made by Donetsk Regional Military Administration Head Pavlo Kyrylenko on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“We have started the free evacuation of civilians from Donetsk Region to Kirovohrad Region. […] A total of 136 people left Donetsk Region, including 44 physically challenged persons,” Kyrylenko wrote.
In his words, every even-numbered day the evacuation train will run from Pokrovsk to Kropyvnytskyi with a stop in Oleksandriia.
According to Kyrylenko, people are offered comfortable trains and free meals from World Central Kitchen. Immediately as they arrive, they can submit a request for one-time financial assistance (UAH 3,000 for children and people with disabilities; UAH 2,000 for others). Those evacuated can also apply for a monthly aid to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the same amount.
Kyrylenko noted that people would be provided with free accommodation in municipal institutions or detached houses, and offered humanitarian and psychological assistance, social guidance when applying for aid from international organizations.
