Humor gives additional strength to move forward: Zelensky speaks with comedian Jimmy Fallon

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine had a video call with American TV host, actor, and comedian Jimmy Fallon.

This was reported by the President’s Office, according to Ukrinform.

The interlocutors discussed options for cooperation that would allow drawing more of the world's attention to the Russian war in Ukraine.

"Time goes by, and people, unfortunately, have even gotten used to the fact that there is a war in Europe in the 21st century. We cannot allow this. This topic should be raised constantly. And people like you, Jimmy, can help us in this regard," the head of state said.

He noted Jimmy Fallon’s work, adding that before the war, he would sometimes watch his show.

"Now we are going through a very dark period. And, it would seem, nowadays it's not about jokes at all. However, sometimes it’s humor that gives additional strength to move forward," said Volodymyr Zelensky.

The president invited Jimmy Fallon to visit Ukraine.

As reported, earlier today, the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, had a video call with American director, screenwriter and producer Brian Vogel. The latter said he plans to make a film about the war in Ukraine.
