The infrastructure facilities destroyed as a result of the Russian invasion are being restored in Zhytomyr, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions.

“More than 300 facilities destroyed as a result of the Russian aggression have been restored in Zhytomyr region, 440 – in Sumy region, and about 1,000 – in Chernihiv region. The restoration works are ongoing in all areas freed from Russian occupation," Kyrylo Tymoshenko, Deputy Head of the President’s Office, announced.

In particular, 44 high-rise buildings, 470 private buildings, more than 30 schools and kindergartens, three higher education institutions, 18 cultural and health care institutions, 13 administrative buildings, and four housing and public utility facilities – a total of more than 600 facilities – have been completely restored in Zhytomyr region.

As noted, the Russian troops continue to shell Sumy region, but local authorities and public utility workers carry out restoration works, as well as daily monitoring of the consequences of the aggressor's war crimes.

More than 440 critical infrastructure facilities, residential buildings, and administrative buildings have been restored in Sumy region, Tymoshenko informed.

Chernihiv region continues to heroically defend itself and overcome the consequences of the Russian armed invasion. More than 270 high-rise buildings, 635 private buildings, 30 kindergartens, 28 schools, 19 health care facilities, six housing and public utility facilities, an administrative building, and a higher education institution have been restored in Chernihiv region.

As Tymoshenko emphasized, Kharkiv region is courageously resisting the invaders, fighting continues on the front line, the enemy is shelling Ukrainian positions and nearby localities, but utility workers and emergency services workers overcome the consequences of aggression every day.

As reported, at the end of March – beginning of April, the Ukrainian defense forces liberated the localities of Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions from Russian troops, but the enemy continues shelling the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions from the territory of the Russian Federation.
