NSDC to release instructions for citizens in case Russia nukes Ukraine
The National Security and Defense Council will soon publish an action protocol for citizens in the event of a Russian nuclear attack on Ukrainian territory.
That’s according to the NSDC Secretary, Oleksiy Danilov, who spoke with RFE/RL, Ukrinform reports.
"We are talking about tactical weapons. If they will be employed, there are certain procedures as of today. We have developed instructions in the NSDC apparatus, which we will try to make as public as possible in the coming days," he said.
At the same time, Danilov noted that nuclear powers have undertaken to prevent nuclear attacks.
"This is the responsibility of every nuclear power," he said.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council stressed that Russia's threats will stimulate other non-nuclear nations to create "dirty bombs" to protect themselves from "crazy neighbors."
"When the Russians start rattling nuclear weapons in front of the world today, the number of so-called bombs will appear in geometric progression. Because no country will be protected from a crazy neighbor. (Creating – ed.) this so-called dirty bomb is not such a difficult task," the senior security official emphasized.
According to Danilov, Ukraine will defend its land no matter what. "If there is no civilized response from the international community and NATO countries to such an audacious attack, if it ever happens, it won’t mean that we won’t defend our land. We will not be stopped by Putin's troops," he concluded.
As reported by Ukrinform, Danilov said that the task of de-occupation of Ukraine and defragmentation of Russia will be implemented according to plans and schedules.
