Microsoft partners up with Olena Zelenska Foundation
Microsoft has become a partner of the Olena Zelenska Foundation, set up by Ukraine’s First Lady.
That’s according to the Foundation’s press service, Ukrinform reports.
“We are pleased to announce that Microsoft is now a partner of the Foundation created to rebuild the country – and first of all in the spheres of medicine, education and humanitarian aid,” the report reads.
It is also reported that Olena Zelenska’s meeting with Microsoft President Mr. Brad Smith on the sidelines of the Web Summit – the largest IT conference in Europe – was extremely warm and fruitful.
The press service recalls that Microsoft is one of the first companies that suspended the sale of products and services in Russia at the beginning of March and was awarded the Peace Prize initiated by the President of Ukraine for corporations that left the Russian market.
“Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the overall assistance from Microsoft to Ukraine is more than $400 million,” the report notes.
The company also continues supporting Ukraine in the field of cybersecurity, helping nonprofit, humanitarian and international organizations that investigate war crimes against Ukrainian civilians, according to the Foundation.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Ukraine’s First Lady, speaking at the Web Summit in Portugal, presented her Foundation to the event’s participants.
