Power supply set to be restored in Kherson

Joint-Stock Company Kherosnoblenergo will launch start work on the restoration of power supply in Kherson immediately after the Ukrainian military issues the relevant permit.

As reported by Ukrinform, JSC Khersonoblenergo announced this on Facebook.

"There is a lot of work on the operational restoration of energy supply in the territories of Kherson region liberated by the Armed Forces. The situation with power supply in Kherson is extremely difficult. But we are ready to begin the process of restoring the city's power grids immediately after we receive the official permission of the Ukrainian military to enter the city," said Ihor Safronov, the company’s chairman of the board.

Many settlements of Kherson region have been cut off power supply for months due to shelling, destruction, and looting by the Russian invaders. The infrastructure across the region has sustained significant damage.

It is noted that specialists from Kirovohradoblenergo, Chernivtsioblenergo, Zhytomyroblenergo, and Rivneoblenergo have joined efforts to restore power supply in the region months ago.

Safronov added that the company needs help from Ukrainian and international energy companies.

As reported by Ukrinform, the first settlements on the territory of the liberated Kherson region will be re-powered next week.
