Red Cross to allocate UAH 100M for payments to residents of liberated Kherson region
The Red Cross will allocate UAH 100 million for payments to residents of Kherson region liberated from the Russian invaders.
According to Ukrinform, the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
"The Ukrainian Red Cross Society is ready to attract an additional UAH 100 million to pay monetary aid to the residents of the deoccupied Kherson region," the report reads.
The ministry reminded that the provision of cash support is implemented under a joint project of the Ministry for Reintegration, the Red Cross Society and Ukrposhta. Residents of Kherson and other recently liberated settlements, who were actually there during the occupation, will receive UAH 1,200 in one-time cash assistance.
As reported by Ukrinform, the payment of pensions and social assistance in Kherson region will begin as soon as the process of demining the premises of the Pension Fund and banks is completed.
