USAID delivers more than 1,000 power generators to Ukraine
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has delivered more than 1,000 power generators to Ukraine.
The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine wrote this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
“The United States continues to support Ukraine and the Ukrainian people amid Russia’s continuing attacks. With Russia intensifying its attacks against Ukraine’s electricity system, USAID has delivered more than 1,000 power generators to help hospitals, schools, emergency services, government agencies, and other public service providers continue working amid the war,” the report says.
It is noted that Ambassador Brink participated in the handover of 50 more generators to the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine. The generators will help the Government of Ukraine’s communication channels continue functioning even when power is knocked out by Russia’s strikes.
As reported, on November 23, the European Parliament, in collaboration with the Eurocities network, has launched the Generators of Hope initiative to provide energy generators and transformers to Ukraine.
