Olena Zelenska meets with Brigitte Macron in France
Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska has met with First Lady of France Brigitte Macron during her visit to France.
"First Lady of France Brigitte Macron is one of those whom I have the honor to call not only a colleague but also a friend. And, of course, a great friend of Ukraine: she welcomed Ukrainian children with cancer when we evacuated them from Ukraine by "convoys of life" plane in the first days of the Russian attack. Her foundation made a great contribution to the recovery of Ukrainian medicine," Zelenska posted on Telegram.
She thanked the First Lady of the French Republic and the entire country for their support and assistance provided to Ukraine in its fight against the invader.
Ukraine’s First Lady added that she has a busy schedule in the coming days, one of the program items is a joint visit to a Paris school where Ukrainian children from families of temporary migrants study.
"I am glad that Paris became the first French city where the official study of the Ukrainian language was launched in schools. The French government even created virtual classes for teaching the Ukrainian language," Zelenska shared.
According to her, Brigitte Macron spoke enthusiastically about Ukrainian women as she felt during the meeting with Ukrainian women that they are amazing people with amazing energy.
At the same time, the First Lady of Ukraine announced the presentation of her Foundation at a special evening tomorrow so that everyone in the world can participate in the restoration of Ukraine, primarily in the provision of humanitarian aid, the reconstruction of hospitals and schools.
"I think that the French, who have always valued human rights (and the most indisputable of them – the right to life), will not stay aside here either. After all, human rights have no borders," Zelenska added.
As reported, the First Lady, the Prime Minister, and the government officials make a working visit to France.
