Pro-Russian hackers once again attack Italian gov’t websites

The pro-Russian hacker group NoName057(16) staged a cyber attack on the websites of the Italian authorities, including the lower house of the country’s parliament and several ministries.

This is reported by ANSA, as seen by Ukrinform.

Currently, relevant police experts are helping the government contain the attack.

Taking responsibility for the stunt, the hackers said on their Telegram channel that they attacked the websites in the wake of the recent reports of 20 Ukrainian soldiers having undergone training in Italy to operate SAMP-T air defense systems.

In addition, they added, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stated that she saw no prerequisites for starting negotiations on ending the Russian war in Ukraine.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, in February the pro-Russian hacker group NoName057 staged a DDoS attack on a number of Italian companies and institutions on the occasion of Meloni’s visit to Kyiv.

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni signed a joint declaration on support and cooperation.
