Croatia proposes treating wounded Ukrainian soldiers
The Croatian government has proposed taking in wounded Ukrainian soldiers for treatment and rehabilitation.
That's according to Veteran Affairs Minister Tomo Medved, Ukrinform reports, citing Euractiv.
"We expect Ukraine to prepare the first batch of 20 wounded fighters to be sent to Croatian hospitals for treatment. And after their recovery they will be included in a rehabilitation program at our veteran centers," Medved said.
Croatia currently operates two dedicated rehabilitation centers for war veterans from its 1991-95 war of independence, with plans to open two more.
On March 31, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic took part in events marking the first anniversary of the liberation of Bucha from Russian invaders. Medved was a member of the delegation.
