"The city needs additional capacity. Currently, the municipality has developed a concept of energy security of the city, which aims to systematically address the problem of the lack of these capacities, including by generating energy within the city," Trukhanov said.

In a commentary to journalists, the mayor of Odesa said that the city may build a 30 MW gas piston station that will allow for energy generation within the city.

The construction will be supervised by the United Nations.

"The UN organization, which is currently building gas-powered stations in Kyiv, intends to build such stations in Odesa as well," Trukhanov said.

As reported, the Danish government has launched a new support program for Ukraine for 2023.
