France donates 18 ambulances to Ukraine
Eighteen ambulances have arrived in the Lviv region from France.
Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv regional military administration, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"Important reinforcement for the medical teams that save our soldiers and civilians: a humanitarian convoy has arrived in the Lviv region from France - almost 20 ambulances. Each of them is filled with everything necessary to save lives," the official said.
According to him, 13 ambulances were handed over to military medics who work in difficult areas and four to specialists of emergency medical assistance in the Kharkiv region. Another vehicle, equipped in accordance with the standards of Ukraine's State Emergency Service, will be used for demining efforts.
Kozytskyi thanked SAFU – a collective of assistance to Ukraine, which the owners of ambulance companies in France created on February 28, 2022. In total, they have already handed over 90 ambulances and more than 600 tonnes of medical cargo to Ukrainian doctors.
Kozytskyi added that the ambulances had been personally delivered by 35 French citizens who are involved in the production and purchase of the vehicles.
