Lubinets, UNICEF representatives discuss protection of rights of children affected by war

At a meeting with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) representatives in Ukraine, Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Lubinets discussed ensuring the protection of the rights of children who suffered from Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine.

The ombudsman wrote this on Telegram, Ukrifnorm reports.

"The key topic is ensuring the protection of the rights of children suffered from the Russian armed aggression against Ukraine. Told the Fund’s representatives about the activities of the Ombudsman's Office in this sector and presented informational materials on this topic," he noted.

In turn, UNICEF Representative in Ukraine Murat Sahin said that the fund is ready to help the Ombudsman's Office and strengthen cooperation for the protection of children's rights.

"Also, we discussed future joint activities and interaction. I am grateful to the partners for a friendly and productive meeting! I am convinced that our cooperation will be fruitful," the ombudsman said.

As reported, Lubinets said that the UN mission should help search for Ukrainian children deported to Russia.
