Ukrainian audio guide launched in Stockholm museum
A Ukrainian-language audio guide has been launched at Nordiska museet – a Sweden’s museum of culture and ethnography.
An Ukrinform correspondent learned this from Olesia Gordiyenko, the project manager and director of the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Stockholm
"I am sure that a new Ukrainian-language audio guide at Nordiska museet will be a valuable road map for Ukrainians in Sweden to explore and appreciate the rich spiritual and material cultural heritage of Northern Europe, to learn more about its customs and traditions. The project was implemented thanks to the joint efforts of our Center and the Embassy of Ukraine in Sweden as part of the implementation of the initiative of First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska to create Ukrainian-language audio guides in the world's leading museums," said Olesia Gordiyenko.
Commenting on the event, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Sweden Andrii Plahotniuk emphasized the importance of preserving the common cultural heritage of Sweden and Ukraine.
The Nordic Museum, located on Djurgården in Stockholm, is Sweden’s museum of culture and ethnography, and is one of the main tourist attractions of the city. More than 150,000 exhibits are stored here.
As reported by Ukrinform, the project to introduce Ukrainian audio guides in the world's leading museums has been implemented under the patronage of Olena Zelenska since 2020. A total of 62 audio tours in Ukrainian have been launched so far.
