Pope Francis receives "Bucha coin"
Pope Francis was presented with a "Bucha coin" depicting the Church of St. Andrew the First-Called from the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Ruslan Kravchenko.
Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Ruslan Kravchenko said this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"I asked the Special Envoy to give the Pope the "Bucha coin" with the image of the Church of St. Andrew the First-Called. It was here that 119 civilians were buried during the Russian occupation. I am grateful that the coin, which symbolizes the resistance of Ukrainians, has already reached the addressee," Kravchenko said.
He emphasized that the civilized world should not forget about the Russians' crimes.
"Russian war criminals have been killing and continue to kill. They destroy everything related to Ukraine and Ukrainians. They are terrorizing the world with nuclear weapons. Therefore, today, peace and security depend on joint actions of the whole world as never before," emphasized the head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
As Ukrinform reported, a few weeks ago, the Special Envoy of Pope Francis Cardinal Matteo Zuppi visited Bucha.
