Kuleba calls on ICC to issue arrest warrant against Belarus Red Cross chief

Minister for Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba called on the International Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant for the head of the Belarusian Red Cross, Dzmytry Shautsou, who publicly confessed to the crime of illegal deportation of children from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

Kuleba wrote about this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"I call on the International Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant for Dzmitry Shautsou, who has publicly confessed to the crime of unlawful deportation of children from occupied areas of Ukraine. All those responsible for stealing Ukrainian children must be held to account," wrote the head of Ukrainian diplomacy.

Earlier, the Belarusian publication Zerkalo reported with reference to Shautsou's statement on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel that the Belarusian Red Cross had confirmed its participation in the removal of Ukrainian children from the occupied territories of Ukraine and into Belarus.

As reported, on July 17, the Pre-Trial Chamber of the International Criminal Court issued warrants for the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Maria Lvova-Belova, the Russian President's Commissioner for Children's Rights, who are suspected of the illegal forced transfer of Ukrainian children from the occupied territories.
