MFA: Missing Ukrainian found in Israel, work ongoing to confirm possible death of another citizen
Over the past day, Ukrainian diplomats found a Ukrainian citizen who went missing in the south of Israel, work is ongoing to obtain confirmation of the possible death of another Ukrainian citizen.
Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleh Nikolenko posted this on Facebook.
According to him, the operational headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to provide assistance to Ukrainians in Israel works around the clock.
Over the past day, Ukrainian diplomats found a citizen who went missing in the south of the country, helped one family leave the city of Ashkelon, and found temporary housing for two families amid canceled flights.
In total, the operational headquarters processed 80 appeals from citizens. The requests related to establishing the whereabouts of relatives, ways of leaving the combat zones, finding temporary housing, obtaining information on the development of the security situation, and the order of actions to stay safe.
As Nikolenko emphasized, work is ongoing to obtain official confirmation of the possible death of a citizen of Ukraine. Information about other affected Ukrainians has not yet been received.
The Ukrainian embassy is in constant contact with the Israeli police, rescue services, main hospitals, and the Institute of Forensic Medicine.
"We are also in contact with Ukrainians who are in the Gaza Strip, we are developing routes for emergency exit from the enclave in case of such a need," the MFA spokesman emphasized.
