Cops bring 750 kg of pet food to war-torn Avdiivka
The White Angels evacutation team that is part of the National Police delivered 750 kilograms of pet food to Avdiivka, the town in Donetsk region practically wiped out by Russian strikes.
The batch had been handed over by animal rescue volunteers, the National Police reported, according to Ukrinform.
"Food for our fluffy friends has arrived in Avdiivka. White angels brought 750 kg of pet food, handed over by volunteers, to the destroyed town," the report reads.
It is noted that the woman who became a "foster mother" for the abandoned 18 cats and three dogs was especially excited about the assistance.
"Police officers help feed this pet army and deliver food to every neighborhood," noted the press service.
As reported by Ukrinform, the White Angels team evacuated another two women from Avdiivka. One of them had been injured and the other had suffered an arm fracture.
