About a hundred people in Zaporizhzhia have joined a rally "Don't be silent, captivity kills" in support of Ukrainian prisoners of war, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

The organizers of the rally put up a large cage in the middle of the square, symbolizing the bars behind which the enemy keeps Ukrainian defenders.

"Azovstal heroes have been in enemy captivity for the third year. It was not their choice; it was the state's decision. It is the state that should release the defenders of Mariupol now. We have to remember those who are in captivity, we are the ones who have to remind the state about the prisoners. We are the ones who have to stand up and show the whole world that we are close to Azovstal heroes. We are close to every prisoner. Don't be silent, shout to the whole world," said the organizer of the event, Stela Orel.

The participants in the rally were chanting "The prisoner screams, the whole world is silent" and "Don't be silent, captivity kills."
