Zelensky: We are looking for truth about everyone - where person is and what is needed to return him or her from captivity
President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that Ukraine is looking for the truth about everyone who is in captivity: where the person is, what condition they are in, what is needed to return home.
He said this in his evening video address, Ukrinform reports.
"As promised, we are working to return all our people from Russian captivity home to Ukraine. We do not forget about anyone," Zelensky said.
In his video address, the President showed a video with Ukrainian defenders released from captivity.
"Today, 90 more families are happy - 90 warriors have returned from captivity. The defenders of Azovstal, Mariupol, Chornobyl NPP, from different frontline areas. They are soldiers, National Guard, border guards, navy, most of them privates and sergeants. We will return all the others in the same way. We are looking for the truth about everyone - where the person is, in what condition, what is needed to return," Zelensky said.
He thanked the team working on the exchanges and the United Arab Emirates for their assistance "to make today's event possible".
"Let's continue this work. I am grateful to everyone who believes, fights, helps, works for Ukraine to have such results - in protecting our people, in strengthening our state, in bringing our peace closer. The peace that Ukrainians deserve!" the President stressed.
As reported, 90 more Ukrainian defenders have been returned to Ukraine from Russian captivity.
