Nearly 70 citizens from Donetsk region evacuated to Volyn region by train

An evacuation train has arrived in the Volyn region, bringing 69 residents of the Donetsk region.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by Vadym Filashkin, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.

"Another evacuation train from the Donetsk region arrived in Volyn today [July 6]. With the help of the government bodies, the White Angels, the State Emergency Service and volunteers, 69 residents of the Donetsk region moved to a safer region. Among them are six children and nine people with disabilities," Filashkin wrote.

According to him, all evacuees received a one-time payment of UAH 3,600. In addition, families with children will receive an additional payment of UAH 10,800 per person from UNICEF and the Angels of Salvation charitable foundation.

The next evacuation train to the Volyn region is scheduled for July 13.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the evacuation of residents from the Donetsk region to the Volyn region started on July 5.
