The Ukrainian World Congress organized a march in Paris, during which it called on France and the French to support Ukraine's accession to NATO. People held posters calling on the North Atlantic Alliance to invite Ukraine to membership as soon as possible and thus send a sign to Putin that he will not be able to restore the Russian empire.

About 150 people came to the event, including a Paris city deputy, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The main idea is that today it is not only in the interests of Ukraine for NATO to help us defend ourselves, it is also in the interests of NATO to invite the strongest and most combat-ready army in Europe, which is already standing guard over Europe," said Volodymyr Kohutiak, organizer of regular Ukrainian marches in the French capital and vice president of the Union of Ukrainians in France.

According to the participants of the march, after the summit in Washington, Ukraine should come decisively closer to membership in the Alliance. Recall that the 75th anniversary NATO summit will be held in Washington on July 9-11, 2024.
