Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine has received more than UAH 18.5 billion worth of medical humanitarian aid.

According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Health reported this on Facebook.

"Medical humanitarian aid for Ukraine is provided by 35 countries, more than 60 international and partner organisations, Ukrainian and foreign businesses and medical institutions of other countries. This is a real manifestation of solidarity and support," the Health Ministry said.

The Ministry noted that the partners respond promptly to Ukrainian needs. In particular, during the period of martial law, 583,026,322 units of medicines, 245,514,595 consumables and personal protective equipment, 1,370,667 instruments, 13,924 comprehensive sets, 473,952 pieces of equipment, 618 medical furniture, 923 medical vehicles, 1,632 bulletproof vests and helmets for medical workers, and 590 Starlink portals were delivered.

"Every day, our warehouses receive aid from donors and benefactors, account for, redistribute and send medicines, equipment and ambulances to the regions. This is an extremely important job that supports our healthcare system and saves lives," the Ministry of Health said.

The ministry called it particularly important that the medicines received include rare and expensive drugs that help treat patients with orphan diseases.

The collection of data on medical needs, accounting of balances in regional warehouses and healthcare facilities, as well as the distribution of medical humanitarian aid are carried out through the MedData information and analytical system, which ensures control and transparency of the process.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, thanks to a joint project of the Ministry of Health and the World Bank, 78 16 kW generators were purchased for the full and uninterrupted operation of medical institutions in case of possible power outages.
