Mourning event takes place in Bucharest over Russian shelling of Ukrainian cities and Okhmatdyt

On June 8, an event of mourning was held near the Ukrainian Embassy in Romania in connection with the barbaric attacks of the Russian Federation on Ukrainian cities and the Okhmatdyt hospital in Kyiv. 

The Embassy of Ukraine in Romania reported this on its Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.

Ukrainian diplomats, Ukrainian citizens residing in Romania, and Romanian citizens took part in the event.

During the event, Ambassador Ihor Prokopchuk strongly condemned Russian terrorism and stated that despite the aggressor's brutal attacks, Russia will not succeed in breaking the Ukrainian nation. 

He emphasized that Ukraine will continue to fight for its independence and territorial integrity and will definitely win.

As a reminder, activists and concerned citizens gathered in front of the Russian Embassy in Berlin on the evening of July 8 for an emergency event under the slogan "Russia is killing our children - Taurus now!".

As Ukrinform reported, on the morning of July 8, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Ukraine, firing 38 missiles. In the capital, 22 people died as a result of the enemy attack. Residential buildings, infrastructure, and two medical facilities were damaged.

In particular, one of the hits was on the building of the Okhmatdyt children's hospital, where 16 people were injured, seven of them children. Two people were reported dead.
