Ukrainians in Luxembourg hold performance rally in memory of victims of Russian missile attacks

In Luxembourg, on Clairefontaine Square, the association of Ukrainians LUkraine organized a rally – a performance in memory of Ukrainians killed as a result of the latest Russian missile attacks. 

According to an Ukrinform correspondent, the rally, which was held under the slogan "Europe! Save the children in Ukraine," many Ukrainians came from France and Germany.

During the performance, several dozen people in "bloodied" clothes lay down on the pavement, symbolizing the victims of attacks in Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro, and other cities. Participants called the names of each person killed and told their stories. 

"We wanted to show that these are not some abstract figures of the death toll. We named every doctor, every child, and the person who identified with this victim rose up so that the locals understood that they were persons. We talked about every fate. I hope that it touched the locals," said the host of the action, Mariia Kolesnyk. 

The participants also tried to convey the idea that all Ukrainians, wherever they are, remain a single nation that continues to help and work for Ukraine.

"Each of us is a drop of a great nation, which now when it hurts, stands shoulder to shoulder in Kyiv to help dismantle the rubble and transfer water. We must also do everything to counteract what Russia is doing, to show it to the world," Kolesnyk said. 

Ukrainians also thanked the Prime Minister of Luxembourg for signing the security agreement and for supporting Ukraine's path to NATO. 

As reported, on July 8, Russia launched massive strikes on Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Kramatorsk, and Sloviansk. In the capital, one of the missiles hit the building of the Okhmatdyt children's hospital. According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, as of July 10, the death toll in Kyiv has increased to 33.
