Opera singer Ihor Voronka killed in action
Ihor Voronka, an opera singer, artist of the National Academic Chapel “Dumka”, was killed in action in Ukraine.
His wife Maryna Rayevska announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"It is with great sadness that I received the news from comrades-in-arms of my husband Ihor Voronka about his death on the battlefield on the evening of July 6," she wrote.
Rayevska added that the family cannot organize a funeral and receive official documents about the death of the artist, as the territory where he was killed is occupied by Russia. According to her, the man is officially listed as missing.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Vitaliy Markytan, assistant director of the Odesa Academic Ukrainian Theater named after V. Vasylko, was killed in battle for Ukraine.
