Over 29,000 citizens submit applications to Ukrainian recruitment centers
As of December 9, more than 29,000 citizens have sought consultations at the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's recruitment centers, with 6,617 candidates currently in the process of position selection and registration.
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry said this in a statement, Ukrinform reports.
According to the statement, the Dnipropetrovsk region has shown the highest engagement, accounting for over 14% of the total applications received since the centers' launch. Regional activity is distributed as follows:
- Dnipropetrovsk region - 14.71%;
- Kharkiv region - 14.69%;
- Kyiv city - 14.63%;
- Zaporizhzhia region - 12.48%;
- Lviv region - 11.65%.
The ministry said that recruitment centers offer positions not only in the Ukrainian Armed Forces but also in the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, and the Security Service of Ukraine.
According to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, among the more than 10,000 available vacancies, the most sought-after roles include drivers, drone operators, staff employees, and medical personnel.
The ministry emphasized that recruitment centers do not issue military summonses, ensuring that all consultations are conducted confidentially by civilian staff.
At present, 44 recruitment centers are operational across Ukraine, complemented by a hotline to provide additional support and information to interested citizens.
Earlier reports said that since October 1, citizens who voluntarily wish to serve have been able to select their preferred military unit directly, eliminating the need to visit territorial recruitment and social support centers.
