Another IDP hub to be deployed in Odesa
In Odesa, a temporary residence center for internally displaced persons, capable of accommodating 110 families, will be set up based on a dormitory located on 8 Krasnova Street.
That’s according to the City Council, Ukrinform learned.
“Based on the specified premises, it is planned to create a temporary residence center for internally displaced persons, which will allow us to temporarily accommodate 110 families from this category,” the report says.
Currently, design paperwork for the overhaul of the dormitory premises is being drafted. Construction work is scheduled to be executed next year.
The authorities also reported that this year a project, was implemented to fit 10 modular houses for displaced persons, which the city received as humanitarian aid, while electricity, water, and sewage networks have been set up.
According to the City Council, Odesa currently hosts nearly 132,000 IDPs.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, a center for social and psychological support for IDPs has been launched in Odesa.
