Three days of mourning declared in Sumy for victims of Russian missile strike

Sumy has declared three days of mourning for the victims of the missile strike carried out by Russian forces on April 13.

This was announced on Telegram by Serhii Kryvosheienko, Head of the Sumy City Military Administration.

“April 14, 15, and 16 are days of mourning in Sumy. Yesterday, the city was subjected to yet another act of Russian terror. Dozens of civilians were killed, including children. Over a hundred were injured. There is widespread destruction. This is a deep pain for each of us. We mourn. We remember. We extend our sincere condolences to everyone who lost their loved ones,” he wrote.

The official expressed gratitude for the support coming from other cities, doctors, rescuers, and volunteers — all those who are fighting for every life.

As reported by Ukrinform, on April 13, Russian forces struck central Sumy with two ballistic missiles. According to the latest data, the injury toll from the attack has risen to 119, including 15 children; 34 people were killed.
