Footballer Malinovskyi meets with Ukrainian refugees in France
Ukraine midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi and his French club Marseille visited Ukrainian refugees in the 7th arrondissement of Marseille.
That's according to La Provence, Ukrinform reports.
"These are not easy times, what's happening is unfair. It's important for us to help and I hope we'll do more next time. We want to help those who fled the war and who are going to live here for a long time. Being surrounded by Ukrainians in Marseille gives me satisfaction. Many compatriots have become OM fans since they arrived in this city," the footballer said.
Among the gifts that the Malinovskyi family offered their compatriots were Ruslan's T-shirts with No. 18 and tickets for the Marseille-Lorient game on April 9.
It was not the first such meeting between the player and his compatriots. While playing for Italy's Atalanta, Ruslan and his wife supported the Ukrainians in Bergamo.
