Yastremska wins strong-willed victory at start of 2024 Olympics

Ukraine's third ranked player Diana Yastremska has made a good start at the Olympic tennis tournament in Paris (France).

In the match to reach the 1/16 finals, Yastremska won a strong-willed victory over Laura Pigossi from Brazil - 3: 6, 7: 5, 6: 0, Ukrinform reports.

The match lasted exactly 2 hours.

The Kyiv woman will play for a ticket to the 1/8 finals of the tournament with the winner of the pair Clara Burel (France) - Kateryna Siniakova (Czech Republic).

It will be recalled that the 2024 Games will end on 11 August.
