Power grids destroyed in 2022 restored in Sulyhivka village, Kharkiv region
In the village of Sulyhivka in the Kharkiv region, power grids destroyed in the summer of 2022 during hostilities have been restored.
This was reported on Facebook by Kharkivoblenergo, Ukrinform reports.
"Specialists of the Izium district have restored electricity to the village of Sulyhivka of the Oskil community," the post says.
According to Volodymyr Protopop, acting head of Izium Power Distribution Company, the damage in the village is enormous, as fierce fighting took place there in the summer of 2022.
"The infrastructure was completely destroyed. Substations were smashed, overhead power lines were destroyed. We had to start rebuilding from scratch. We also had to wait for the sappers to clear the area of mines," said Protopop.
According to the power company, only three families live in the destroyed Sulyhivka so far, and their houses have already been powered. If people return to the village, the power company will connect their homes upon request.
As reported, in April, the power supply was restored in Brazhkivtsi, Izium district, Kharkiv region.
