Pritzker to leave post of U.S. envoy for Ukraine’s recovery
U.S. special representative for Ukraine’s economic recovery Penny Pritzker said her ongoing visit to Ukraine is her last in this capacity as her mandate is limited to one year.
She said this at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"I say this with some sadness in my heart. It's never been a secret that congressional requirements limit my time in this role to one year, which is why this will be my last trip to Kyiv as special representative," Pritzker said.
She assured that she remains committed to this work, and the Joe Biden administration's commitment to Ukraine’s economic recovery will continue to evolve as dictated.
This was Pritzker's sixth visit to Ukraine over the past nine months.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, on Monday, the U.S. special representative for Ukraine’s economic recovery Penny Pritzker and CEOs of American companies Amentum, Clayco Inc, and WestingHouse Nuclear came on a visit to Kyiv.
Pritzker was appointed to the position of U.S. special representative for Ukraine’s economic recovery in September 2023.
