Odesa has received eight excavators and spare parts from Japan that will help eliminate the consequences of Russian attacks.
The Odesa City Council announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“Odesa has received another assistance from Japanese friends – eight excavators and spare parts for them. This timely and crucial assistance will enable us to overcome the consequences of Russian attacks even more effectively and restore the city,” said Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
The equipment was handed over to utility services.
It is noted that the city received the equipment as part of the intergovernmental program for the emergency recovery of Ukraine (JFY2022) and a grant agreement between the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the government of Ukraine dated April 14, 2023.
