Zelensky signs decree on general mobilization

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree on general mobilization in Ukraine.

The relevant document, No. 69/2022, has been published on the president's website, Ukrinform reports.

"In connection with the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and with a view to ensuring the defense of the state, maintaining combat and mobilization readiness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations, on the basis of a proposal from the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, in accordance with Part 2 of Article 102, paragraphs 1, 17, 20 of Part 1 of Article 106 of the Constitution of Ukraine I order to announce and conduct a general mobilization," the decree reads.

The mobilization campaign will be carried out in the Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Zaporizhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Luhansk, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, Chernihiv regions, and the city of Kyiv.

Mobilization will last for 90 days from the date of entry into force of this decree.
