Russian invasion update: Enemy vehicles enter Berdiansk, shooting underway

A column of military vehicles has entered Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia Region, from the village of Azovske; shooting can be heard in many districts.

The relevant statement was made by Berdiansk City Council Secretary Oleksandr Svidlo on his Facebook page, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“A column of military vehicles has entered downtown Berdiansk from the village of Azovske and driven along the Melitopol highway. They went down, were maneuvering along the streets for about 30 minutes and moved to the exit from the Azovske direction. We have information that armed men with assault rifles are moving along Proletarskyi Avenue in small groups. The military vehicles entered the private housing sector on Dubinina Street,” Svidlo told.

In his words, armed men also came to the boiler facility, providing the military town with heat services, and requested that the staff members leave the premises.

According to Berdiansk District State Administration, shooting can be heard in many districts. Russia’s Buk missile systems were also detected within the city.
