Russian invasion update: Three civilians killed, 14 wounded in shelling of Kharkiv’s residential neighborhoods

In Kharkiv, Russian troops inflicted massive strikes on residential neighborhoods in two city districts. According to preliminary data, three people died and 14 were injured, a local volunteer, Natalia Popova, has told Ukrinform.

"They hit two residential blocks - Rogan and Oleksiyivka. We are currently aware of three people killed and 14 wounded," Popova said. People were rushed to hospitals.

The district of Saltivka also came under Russian fire. Information on the number of casualties is yet to be verified.

Currently, Oleksiyivka residents are reporting damage to multiple buildings, in particular, damaged gas pipelines.

According to incoming reports, Kharkiv was shelled from rocket artillery.

As Ukrinform reported, chief of the Kharkiv Military-Civil Administration Oleg Synegubov, the enemy keeps trying to push its way into Kharkiv, facing a strong rebuff from Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops are shelling and destroying key infrastructure, while missiles are hitting civilian households.
