Russian invasion update: Enemies drop cluster bombs on village in Chernihiv region
Russian troops dropped cluster bombs, banned by international agreements, on the village of Kyyinka in Chernihiv region, northern Ukraine.
"Russian occupiers are killing peaceful Ukrainians and wiping entire villages from the face of the earth. Russian army dropped two packages of cluster bombs on the village of Kyyinka in Chernihiv region," the press service of the Operational Command "North" posted on Facebook.
The invaders use weapons prohibited by the Geneva Convention against civilians, the Command stressed.
Russian president Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine on February 24 and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities. Missiles hit residential buildings.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
Ukraine officially filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation at the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the support of all Ukrainian people, courageously resist the Russian aggression.
