Russian troops have launched an airstrike on the central square of Kharkiv.
That's according to the Telegram channel of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
"The invaders launched an airstrike on the central square of Kharkiv - Freedom Square, where the building of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration is located," the statement said.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops are shelling and destroying key infrastructure, with missiles hitting residential homes.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
