Kuleba: Ukraine, its partners considering various solutions to close airspace
"There are different solutions on how to help Ukraine with air defense, and we are currently working towards them with partners. But there is no need to intimidate that NATO could find itself at war with Russia because of Ukraine. If Russia wins here, in Ukraine, then you, NATO, will be next," Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said at an online briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
As noted, Ukraine does not ask NATO to fight for us, because this is our land. At the same time, according to the Foreign Minister, it is not only a moral obligation for the Alliance but also political expediency to do everything possible to support Ukraine in this war.
"You can now be one hundred percent sure that this will not happen. But before that, you were convinced that Russia would never attack Ukraine so openly.
Weren’t you convinced? You were! And Russia attacked. Therefore, you’d better help us fight here till victory," Kuleba urged.
Russian president Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine on February 24 and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities. Missiles hit residential buildings.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
Ukraine officially filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation at the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the support of all Ukrainian people, courageously resist the Russian aggression.
