Ukraine’s Armed Forces restrain enemy's offensive and repel attacks: hottest spots
"In Podilsky direction, the enemy, having thirteen battalion tactical groups of the Eastern Military District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Armed Forces is trying to continue the offensive along the line Horenychy, Hostomel, Demydiv towards Kyiv to block the capital from the north and north-west. In Zhytomyr region, there are up to three battalion tactical groups of the 5th Combined Arms Army. In the Siversky direction, up to seventeen battalion tactical groups of the occupying forces, despite the manpower and equipment losses, continue offensive operations to block Kyiv from the northeast. The invaders were stopped near Kozelets, Bobrovytsia, and Makiiv. In the other direction, near Svitylnia, Peremoha, and Hostroluchchia, the enemy troops lost their offensive potential,” the Joint Forces Operation Headquarters posted on Facebook.
As noted, the enemy troops with forces up to two battalion tactical groups are making unsuccessful attempts to keep the heroic Ukrainian cities of Sumy, Lebedyn, and Okhtyrka surrounded. In the Slobozhansky direction, up to sixteen battalion tactical groups continue the offensive operation towards Krasnohrad, up to four battalion tactical groups – towards Izium. The invader suffered casualties and was stopped near Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Shevchenkove.
In Donetsk direction, without success, the aggressor focused on blocking the town of Mariupol.
In addition, in Tavriysky direction, the enemy continues offensive operations near Skadovsk, Hola Prystan, Kherson, Snihurivka, Nova Kakhovka. Having regrouped, the enemy continues to move towards Kherson and Mykolayiv. Up to two battalion tactical groups operate near Vasylivka, Chervone Pole, Novopetrivka.
In the Black Sea Operational Zone, the enemy deploys a naval group and continues preparations for a naval landing operation.
Being unsuccessful in advancing its forces, the enemy insidiously continues to launch missile and bomb strikes on critical infrastructure to intimidate civilians, who courageously resist the aggression side by side with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The occupiers suffer losses in all directions.
Russian president Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine on February 24 and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities. Missiles hit residential buildings.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
Ukraine officially filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation at the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague. International Criminal Court Prosecutor Karim Khan initiated the start of investigation into the situation in Ukraine.
